"Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. The sacrament of baptism symbolizes the believer’s rebirth as a new, Christian individual."
Come and celebrate the baptisms of TBS students at Baptisms on the Beach. Here are the details:
*The baptisms will take place at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 2, at Station 18 on Sullivan’s Island.
*The baptisms will be administered by Mr. Stallings, who is an ordained minister. Mrs. Nichols will assist.
*Students desiring to be baptized must talk with Mr. Stallings and Mrs. Nichols about their decision beforehand. Being baptized is an act of faith, and must be carefully considered.
*Parents or students who have questions are encouraged to talk to Mr. Stallings or Mrs. Nichols personally.
*Directions: From Coleman / Ben Sawyer Blvd., cross over the Ben Sawyer Bridge. Turn right onto Middle Street. (A BP gas station is at the corner of the intersection of Ben Sawyer Blvd. and Middle Street). Drive a mile or so down Middle Street until you reach Station 18. It is across the street from Sullivan’s Island Baptist Church. (If there is no parking closer to the beach, you can park at this church. It is only two blocks from the beach).
*For those being baptized: Guys should wear a bathing suit and a t-shirt. Girls should wear shorts and a t-shirt over their bathing suits. Please bring a towel.
*If you are coming to support those being baptized, you may stand ashore or come into the water where the baptisms will be held.
*Parents and family are invited and encouraged to attend. Photography, video cameras, and other recording devices are fine, too!
*We will wait out a passing shower, but if there is heavy rain, we will postpone the event until 5:00 P.M. on Monday.
